One cut, two parts

Single cut saves both sides of your chosen time. Download Part 1 and Part 2 separately, or save both as a ZIP.

Choose time or moments

Equal time divides by duration. Custom clips lets you keep just the sections you want.

Take it offline

Open once online and wait for “Ready offline”. Install the app for easy access.

*Maximum input: 1 GB. Available memory can limit large files, especially on phones. Precise video cuts may take a long time; Fast cut keeps the original quality but uses nearby keyframes. Only the first video and audio tracks are exported.

Install Media Cutter

Install the website on your home screen for quick access.

  1. Android / Chrome: open the browser menu and choose “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”.
  2. iPhone / iPad: open in Safari, tap Share, then “Add to Home Screen”.
  3. Computer: use the install icon in Chrome or Edge’s address bar.

Wait for “Ready offline” before going offline. The first visit downloads the cutter (about 32 MB). Your selected media and finished clips are not stored when the app closes.

A little help

  1. Choose your song or video. The app reads its duration on your device.
  2. Preview before cutting: use Play/Pause, the seek bar, or Jump to exact time. The ±5s, ±1s and ±0.1s buttons pause and move the player. Slow down to 0.5× to find a song ending. The clock shows hours, minutes, seconds and milliseconds. Video cuts still round to the nearest frame.
  3. Single cut (two parts): pause at the time you want and press “Cut here”, or type it in “Cut at”. Leave “Both parts” selected, preview Part 1 and Part 2, then press “Split into 2 parts”. Download each part separately or save both as a ZIP. To save only the ending, choose “Part 2 only · AFTER the cut”. Moving the cut updates both parts.
  4. Manual split: play or seek to a song ending and press “Cut here”, or enter its time. Three cut points make four files. Add or remove cuts to choose the number of files (up to 50). Edit a cut time and press “Apply”, or use “Listen” to hear from three seconds before it.
  5. Equal time: four parts splits a 60-minute file at 15, 30 and 45 minutes, even if a song is still playing. Custom clips: choose independent start/end times; these can overlap.
  6. Choose a cutting mode. Use Precise cut for your selected song endings. Precise cuts create MP3 audio or MP4 video (H.264, up to 1080p). Fast cut copies the original audio and video codecs; video boundaries may move by several seconds to keyframes.
  7. Export and download. Save each clip or make a ZIP. Keep this page open until you finish.

Video files can use a lot of memory. Try Fast cut and fewer parts on a computer for long videos. The app accepts files up to 1 GB, but your browser may run out of memory sooner. It does not automatically detect song titles or song boundaries.
